What is it and what does it do?
Juvéderm^® is a dermal filler, which means that its primary service is to restore lost volume to the face. As we age we naturally lose some of the healthy plumpness and elasticity of our skin – sometimes this manifests in fine lines and creases, decreased size and shape of the lips, or even in older scarring becoming more pronounced. Juvéderm^® is injected directly into these affected areas.

Is it safe?
100%! Not only is it FDA approved and cleared, the primary component of Juvéderm^® is hyaluronic acid, which is a substance found in our skin, muscles and tendons. Eventually it is entirely absorbed by the body.

What sort of results can I expect?
You’ll be able to see some results immediately with full results in just a couple of days. Depending on what area of your face and skin you are treating, you can expect fuller lips, reduced and even eliminated nasolabial folds and “smile lines,” smoothed wrinkles, and a generally more youthful, healthy plumpness to your skin.

You said reabsorbed, how often will I need to schedule appointments?
Yes, Juvéderm^® eventually is reabsorbed into the body, but the results of each injection last several months. There are also alternative options (see below) that last longer. Each individual’s experience is slightly different, but you can typically expect your results to last six to nine months. Excellent time for a non-surgical solution!

Are there other Juvéderm^® options?
Absolutely, and they are at different price points. Juvéderm^® Plus lasts for about one year. We’ve also introduced Juvéderm Voluma as part of our Liquid Facelift treatment, which lasts up to two years.
