QWO For Cellulite
An Injectable Treatment for Cellulite has Arrived!
DID YOU KNOW 90% OF WOMEN STRUGGLE WITH CELLULITE?
It’s true. 9 out of 10 women have cellulite, and it causes major self-esteem issues. Cellulite’s biggest misconception is that it’s caused by diet and exercise. Cellulite is not your fault, and finally, there’s a treatment. It’s called QWO®, and Honolulu MedSpa is pleased to be the first in Hawaii to bring this game-changing cellulite treatment to our patients.
WHAT EXACTLY IS CELLULITE?
Cellulite most frequently occurs around the thighs and buttocks of women. Fibrous bands of collagen called septae run vertically between the surface of the skin and the underlying tissues of the fascia. Cellulite occurs when septae are not long enough, pulling the skin down in dimples. Fat cells meant to cushion the buttocks and thighs bulge between the septae, creating a “quilted” effect. Because cellulite fat is not fuel the body can burn, it cannot be reduced through diet and exercise
HOW DOES QWO® WORK?
Enzymes called collagenases target the structural causes under the skin, where cellulite starts. QWO® works by releasing fibrous bands, redistributing fat cells, and stimulating the growth of new collagen.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
Most patients will need a series of 3 treatments spaced 21 days apart. Your provider will consult with you ahead of treatment and determine how many injections will be required for your needs.
AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE?
Women of all ethnicities, ages, skin colors, and body types are candidates for QWO®. Nearly all women get cellulite in the buttocks, so if you’re self-conscious of the dimpling of your skin, want to look better in a bathing suit, and have been waiting for a truly effective cellulite treatment, QWO® may be right for you.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER TREATMENT?
The most common side effects of QWO® include: injection site bruising, pain, areas of hardness, itching, redness, discoloration, swelling and warmth in the treatment area. These side effects are different for everyone and typically subside within 7-10 days.
